Next 10th and 11th of October, the eInvoicing sector has another “get together” in Barcelona to share experiences and news. The capital of Catalonia has been hosting this event for the last few years with a successful and increasing number of participants from all around the world.
This year, Johannes von Mulert is proposing a balanced agenda. We will have the usual conferences on Global eInvoicing Rollout, where we will be able to learn from the experiences in different countries such as Brazil, Sweden or Australia, and we will also have an speech from Miquel Estapé, from the Consorci Administració Oberta de Catalunya and responsible for the rollout of the electronic invoicing in Catalonia. He will explain the figures of the rollout since its mandatory enforcement by January 2015.
But the scope of the Exchange Summit is growing, and there are new topics to be considered now as they will be relevant in the near future. These topics have an important role in this year’s event. Amongst them, e-Procurement, P2P, blockchain technology and supply chain have their own slots.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the new format of roundtables that started in Orlando and that will be also present in Barcelona. There will be different sessions with this Open Space methodology, covering legislation and VAT directives, electronic invoicing directories, relationship between private and public electronic invoicing or electronic public procurement. This methodology allows for open and flexible sessions where the assistants to the Exchange Summit will be able to actively participate and engage on these different topics.
I will be chairing one of those Roundtables: the one about Public and Private Directories on Monday the 10th, and I wish we can have fruitful discussions on this topic during the Open Space session.
I hope to see you all there and I am sure you will enjoy our city again.
